Survey: Top 3 Digital Commerce Enhancements Demanded by German Consumers

More than half of German consumers say they will switch to another brand if they are unsatisfied with a company's digital user experience, according to the Publics Sapient Digital Commerce Survey 2024.

The survey interviewed 7,600 consumers across Germany, Australia, France, the U.K. and the U.S. to better understand what they value in digital commerce experiences in the health, financial services, retail and consumer products industries.

Some of our key findings revealed that:

  • Germans show reluctance toward digital services, particularly in the financial services and health sectors

  • Globally, nearly 3 in 5 consumers said they wanted clearer descriptions of products and services

  • 1 in 5 consumers believe the UX in retail and consumer products sectors needs improvement.
